When thinking about performance based relationships, particularly in the affiliate channel, we often think of a cost per sale or cost per lead compensation model. However, some relationships may demand a cost per click model. For example, an advertiser may encounter a partner offering display real estate on their content site for a fixed cost per click.
Impact Radius seamlessly integrated Click Tracking in our most recent deployment to enable advertisers to capitalize on cost per click opportunities instantly. With this feature, it is possible to easily set a fixed payout for each click that a partner generates. The compensation model can be run alongside a cost per sale or cost per lead action and can be set on a partner by partner basis.
CPC Actions act like other actions in the system. Clicks are generated and post to reports. Payouts are automatically calculated based on the payout stipulated in the Insertion Order and then payments are transferred to the partner based on the payment schedule.
The feature launched with settings that will help ensure quality and control costs.
Define a Unique Click
Advertisers are able to set their definition of a unique click by choosing their preferred session length (between 30 minutes and 24 hours) and the session type (rolling or fixed). The default uses the definition of a 30 minute session length based on a rolling window.
Advertisers are able to reverse out CPC Actions which may have been generated through click fraud or other illegitimate activity, allowing an advertiser to keep their finger on the pulse of quality and optimize their ROI.
Advertisers are able to set spend limits for each partner to make sure costs are controlled.
